Rubber Factory
The Company's competitiveness can be attributed mainly to the fact
that its processing facilities are located within the rubber plantations
vicinity in Kisaran. As such, the Company can reduce the cost of
obtaining chemical ingredients for latex preservation and the transportation
costs from plantations to processing plant.
The type of product and volume generated by the
Company's rubber processing plant in 2002 are presented in the following

Oil Palm Processing Mill
The Company through its subsidiary company, PT Bakrie Pasaman Plantations
currently owns a palm oil mill in Pasaman with capacity of 40 tons
of FFB per hour. In addition, the Company through PT Kilang Vecolina
has its own palm oil refinery in Karawang with a capacity of 200
tons of CPO per day.
Today, the Company through PT Agrowiyana is in the process of constructing
a palm oil mill with a capacity of 60 tons of FFB per hour, to be
operated ia a joint venture firm with a third party. The palm oil
mill will be completed by the third quarter of 2003 and begin its
commercial operation at the end of 2003.
